Itinerary
Pick up and transfer assisted transfer to your hotel in La Paz.
AM. At approximately 09:00, we begin our excursion at the Killi Killi viewpoint, where you can take stunning photos of the city, before going to the historic centre of La Paz to see Plaza Murillo, the Executive Palace, the Legislative Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral. We then head towards the beautiful Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon), stopping on the way to see the replica of Tiwanaku’s semi-subterranean temple in front of the city’s stadium.
Arrival at the Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon), a spectacular area of badland formations where wind and torrential rainfall have sculpted a stunning lunar landscape. On the way back to the city centre, we board the yellow cable car line to enjoy a beautiful panorama of the city from one of the most picturesque means of urban transport, which allows us to glimpse the secrets of the city from the air whilst also admiring the snow-capped mountain Illimani. We continue our tour in the Witches Market, a place full of traditions, selling objects for use in ancestral Andean rituals, artisanal markets where you can feel the heartbeat of this enchanting city. The tour finishes in San Francisco church, a majestic colonial church in the Baroque Mestizo style; free afternoon, at night transfer to the bus station and tourist bus to Uyuni town..
We’ll pick you up early in the morning leaving La Paz heading to Copacabana; after 3 hours approximately we will cross to the Tiquina Strait, the narrowest part of the Titicaca Lake in a craft to continue traveling by the road built over the pre-Columbian farming terraces. We’ll arrive to Copacabana after 1 hour more, where we will make a short visit to the local market and the amazing Nuestra Señora de Copacabana Basilica, built in a Renaissance style. Then, we have lunch; after we will board a boat to go to the Sun island. We will get to the south coast of the island and will explore the most important tourist attractions, like the Pilkokaina temple, the Sacred Staircase and the Incas Sacred Fountain.
Finally, we will visit the end of the island for having a last view of the lake from this land mass.
We will be back in La Paz in our transportation and transfer to your hotel.
